Perfectly OK
Hello from Virginia! I'm taking some "Birthday" time this week and next (the actual day is Tuesday, July 25). My sister was born the day before my 9th birthday, so I'm taking a few days to celebrate with her. Whether it's your birthday season or not, find something to raise a toast to!
Since I'm in birthday mode, this week's Bloom will be sweet and short. Here's The Seed one more time:
"Beware of the subtle aggression
of self-improvement."
What did I mean by that? Basically, watch out if you're constantly trying to change something about yourself. I think it's a great idea to honestly get to know oneself, but attacking ourselves because we believe we're not good enough is unhealthy. We all have a few "faults" and they can provide an opportunity to upgrade. This can lead to living one's life with more compassion and joy. I believe we have to recognize all the areas where we shine and let those expand. Self-improvement is valuable when we can tackle the few weeds in the garden of who we are as long as we remember that the blooms outnumber them (see what I did there with this week's Bloom?!?). This is what I wish for you. Are you questioning "why" you might work with a health coach? Contact me and let's have a fun conversation!
Sparkles and Love,
