Cheers To Life!

Greetings from the Pacific Northwest. This is the next-to-last blogette I'll be writing from the west coast. In just over two weeks I'll be getting in my fully packed car and heading back across the country. Since I've been on the left coast for nearly six months, I'm already starting to organize and pack some of my things. I love dividing my time between both sides of the U.S. and I especially enjoy visiting friends as I travel over so many miles. At the same time, I don't really have a home base and the desire for one is calling to me. Who knows what 2021 will bring!

This week's MQ pretty much speaks for itself:

"Your positive attitude and cheerful outlook is the best contribution to life you can make. Everyone around you will appreciate it."

Who wants to be around a party pooper, a wet blanket, a sourpuss, a grouch ...? You get the picture. It's so easy to see what's wrong, to find fault or so it seems. Maybe it's just a pattern we get into or we follow someone else's lead and run with it. With a little mindfulness we can turn that around. We can either look for something to complain about or something that makes us happy or grateful. Whatever we lean into and look for, we will find. There's one more piece to this simple formula. If you've been following along for the last few months, you know that I've been talking a LOT about healthy habits. When we put together a bunch of little improvements in the way we take care of ourselves and honor our wellness, we start to feel the improvement in many ways. When we feel better, it's so much easier to take on a positive attitude and cheerful outlook. This is what I wish for you. I'd love to know how you're doing with all the changes that have been going on. How has COVID changed your life? What has stayed the same? Drop me a line and let's talk, cummingsbarbara@gmail.com.
