Life Is A Puzzle

How are you feeling these days? Does life feel complicated and like it has too many moving parts? I know what you mean and The Seed on Monday addressed that. I'm feeling pretty short and sweet myself and I'm going to keep The Bloom that way, too!

Did you ever tackle a really big puzzle? One with 500 or even 1000 pieces?!? I don't know about you, but I'm willing to bet that you've felt overwhelmed, like I have, when first attacking it. You can apply this to anything, but let's stay with the puzzle. Monday's Seed was:

"You don't have to be overwhelmed by the big picture. Think of life as a 1000-piece puzzle. Eventually, the pieces all fit together to create a masterpiece."

So, what do you do when you first unbox a large puzzle? You might look for square edges in order to create the corners and border. Every time you find one that connects with another, you can feel a little more confident that these pieces will interconnect and get you closer to your goal. In life, you could figure out what your container looks like as in who and what is supporting you and feel better about moving forward.

Then, you might find pieces of the puzzle that have some of the same colors. Where in your day-to-day can you find people or places that have a familiarity that carries you through. What small steps can you take to arrive at your desired destination?

Finally, you start filling in the spaces with the rest of the pieces which gets easier and easier with each one until you've completed your project and so goes life, too. An ancient philosopher named Lao Tzu had a famous saying: "The journey of 1000 miles begins with a single step" Or, as this more current philosopher says, "A puzzle of 1000 pieces begins with picking up the first one with a straight edge" Whatever you wish to accomplish in what sometimes seems like a complicated, enormous life, start with just one step or one piece and take it bit by bit until you have what your heart desires. This is what I wish for you.
