And here we go...

Hello, Everybody! I've been so excited ever since I realized just how much I wanted to be in touch with all of you again. This week I'm just going to share some of my journey over the last 6 months.

First of all, when I stepped away from writing a weekly newsletter/blog at the beginning of this year, it was mainly because I wasn't sure I really had anything to say that would be interesting. I guess you could say I was going through self-doubt and I was also wondering which directions to take in my life in general.

I learned over the years that the key to an extraordinary life is part connection with others on the outside and part self-awareness and self-reliance on the inside. One of the signs that I was out of whack was how much I was looking for answers from external sources. Heck, I wanted every psychic, card-reader, and intuitive to tell me about me! Now I love me a good session with the tarot cards, but I'm also aware that it's only part of the guidance system and when it's my main fallback, I'm probably running away from personal responsibility.

On the other hand, sitting with my meditation shawl over my head, for hours at a time, contemplating my toes, or navel, or whatever, eventually becomes simply an escape. Who needs to deal with the real world when you've chosen to hole-up and disappear?!

Off I went into the wild, blue yonder, relying on my own particular GPS of meditation and connection with friends and mentors, and this is what I came up with:

  • I love to wander. As I was getting ready to launch today's blog, it seemed only natural to call it Wanderlust. However, great minds sometimes think alike and another entrepreneur I admire, Dr. Sheri Rosenthal, already has a blog with that name. Also, a website about yoga is using it for their domaine, so, welcome to "Wandering Lustfully" because I put my whole self into it.

  • Wandering, for me, is also about wondering. It's not just putting in the miles around town, around the country or around the world. It's also exploring ideas and thoughts and being curious. I call it putting the "oh!" in place of the "a".

  • I love connection and this means both sharing my fantastic life with others (being interesting) and hearing your story (being interested). When those two things come together, POW -- magic happens.

  • I have "miles to go before I sleep" (thank you, Robert Frost) and I want to share it all.

In addition to showing up in your email box every Monday and Thursday, I will be offering live events, mini-retreats, and I'm always available for a 20-minute conversation if you want some insight on something on your mind.

I'd also really love to hear from you. What would you like? I have been so blessed to have some of the most amazing teachers, plus, I'm finally owning my own powerful intuition. It's a gift that I've been underutilizing and it's time it came out of the closet! I really want to hear about your trials, tribulations, and also, your celebrations and ways you want to share.

Most of all, I'm certain that, as Abraham (www.abraham-hicks.com) says:

Be easy about this. Be playful about it. Don't work so hard at it. Let your dominant intent to be to feel good, and if you don't feel good, then let your dominant intent be to feel relief. Feel your way through it. If you think your way through it, you can get off on all kinds of tangents. If you feel your way through it, you can come quickly to your Core Energy, and when you do that only good can then flow to you.

Oh, yes!

Much love,

Babs
