Born to Glitter

"I hate to litter.

I prefer to glitter."

A brief word about littering before getting into the main course ... It's a terrible, nasty act to simply throw our trash on the side of the road, in the forrest, into the river, lake, or ocean. I think we all know this, but it never hurts to be reminded. Please don't litter.

Now, on to the glitter fest...

I love anything that sparkles. I have a couple of canvas bags with the whole, bottom third of the satchel covered in either pink or gold chunky, sparkling crystal flakes. Everywhere I go with these bags, I leave behind stray sparkles. Since they are often on the passenger seat of my car, if I actually have a human sitting there, you can bet they will leave with little pieces of shiny-ness on their butts.

I also have faerie threads in my hair. Thin, shimmering strands of silver or purple attached by glittering gypsies (https://www.facebook.com/glitteringgypsies) are scattered throughout, catching the light depending on how I turn my head.

I love shiny shoes, pocketbooks, jewelry and even dresses that twinkle as I move. But, there's more to glittering than simply what we see on the surface. Here are some other ways to shimmer and be brilliant:

  • When we can walk into a room with calm confidence, we glitter.

  • When we help someone in need, especially when it comes from the heart, we glitter.

  • When we share our knowledge about something and enable someone, perhaps a young person, to understand something, we glitter.

  • When we love with all of our being, we glitter.

  • When we give of ourselves, our gifts, our talents, without holding back, we glitter.

And, there are so many other ways. So, I recommend  that you wear your sparkly clothing and accessories, and that you get some glistening body paint and adorn yourself all over. However, mostly I urge you to check in with your heart and soul and the divine spark in you and let it all shine. This is what I wish for you.
