Only the Best
Some of you may not even notice that this week's blog is coming out on Friday instead of the usual Thursday. I could probably have "slipped it in" and maybe even gotten away with it. On the other hand, I like being accountable and I want you all to know that I take my commitment to you seriously. On Mondays I share my Pleasure Peek [PP] and on Thursdays I go a little deeper with it. This week I was "on time" with the PP, however I was finishing up a travel RN contract in Boston and leaving immediately after for Oregon. My time was totally accounted for with no room for writing a thoughtful piece. All of this dovetails completely with the PP!
"Always bring your best, most loving game -- no matter what."
I often remind myself that we always have choices in life. The way we show up is in our control. If we choose to be grumpy, unpleasant, or unkind, so be it. Once I understood that I reap what I sow, I started paying more attention to my "bad moods". I realized that it wasn't up to others to make me feel better. That's my job. It's taking it the next step further that involves leading with one's "A" game.
This isn't about being perfect. In fact, I feel like I am consistently imperfect in my weekly blog. Sometimes the grammar isn't quite correct or my thoughts don't come out on paperas clearly as I'd like, but every time I sit down at my computer, I start by asking the Universe to help me speak from the heart. When I send the first draft to my assistant, I often send along a note that says, "this wrote itself". If I call to my higher self, all my angels and guides come together to collaborate. Many times I think, "Oh, I should have said this or added that", yet I know I've brought the best I could at the time and whatever was left out will come up for another blog in the future.
So, my gentle suggestion for this week is to pause and see what it would take to bring your best, most loving game to whatever situation is before you. Ask for grace, take a deep breath, and trust.
