Wonder

September 21, 2016

"Every day is a chance to re-affirm your wonder"

I remember when this week's Pleasure Point "came" to me. I was thinking about each day being brand new with the wonder of a fresh start.

What does it mean to you? When you begin your day is it a clean slate or is it already full of yesterday's sh#&t?! It all depends on how you see it because whatever was going on yesterday isn't anymore ... except in your head. Even if you're dealing with a particular situation, when you wake up to a new day you have the opportunity to see it differently or have some new insights into it. If that seems impossible, let me give you a few suggestions:

  • Before going to bed, take out a journal and write about the situation.  Just get it all out on paper and finish by asking for help from your angels or guides. Thank them ahead of time for assisting you. Then, before closing the journal, write down at least three things for which you are grateful.

  • Another very effective tool I learned from Mama Gena (www.mamagenas.com) involves getting together, in person or by phone, with a good friend. Basically, this

person helps create a container for you to vent about your circumstances over a designated period of time (such as, 10 minutes) without judgement or advice. Ultimately, you are able to lose the charge on your state of affairs and let go of the "stories" you may be attaching to the event. Take this into the next day.

  • Think about whether it's more important for you to hang onto the drama or to look for ways to feel better. You always have the choice to free yourself.

Allow your day to be wonder-full. Get out of your own way and make room for that possibility. You don't even have to wait for tomorrow. You can do it now.

This week's blog is short and sweet because I'm getting ready to drive cross-country again! By this time next week, I'll be somewhere west of the Mississippi. As always, I'll be taking you along by posting videos on Facebook.
